The Simon Family Reunion
Our Pittsburgh branch, established in 1979, are the
decendants of Peter Marie Simon & Anna Magdalene Kovach.

2019 Reunion August 3
This year's family reunion was held at the Broken Branch shelter, Harrison Hills Park, 5200 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065.
The meeting began at 12:00pm and ended around 12:45pm with the paying of dues. Ticket sales for the prize table, Chinese Auction and the Lottery Tree immediately followed.
Oldest family member in attendance was Rusty Ehrenfeld (78), the youngest member was Coltin Steck, son of Leighann Vybiral Steck (1 year 7 months old).

These are the Minutes from the first Simon Reunion held in 1941.
They were recorded by Mary Jane (Simon) Hurst, who was the eldest child of Francis & Elizabeth Simon. Francis is shown in c.1909 photo, below, left.
The original "Hastings" branch celebrated their 75th Simon Reunion, this past September, 2015.
The "Pittsburgh" families decided to be represented through the years by wearing different colored shirts.
This was great for identifying "who's who!"
Red.................... William "Bill"
Lt Blue............... Genevieve "Gen"
Green................ Mary "Louise"
Orange.............. Peter John
Black / White..... Thomas "Tom"
Navy Blue.......... "John" Joseph
Yellow ............... "Dorothy" Ruth
Aunt Dorothy Bielski came up with the matching colored shirts idea for each family. Her gang showed up one year all wearing yellow!
